Falconets face Haiti in must-win World Cup match

Falconets stand to crash out of the FIFA U-20 women’s World Cup if they get anything less than a victory when they face their Haitian counterparts today (Thursday).
The Nigerian ladies will take on Haiti in a matchday 2 encounter by 3:30p.m Nigeria time.
The Christopher Danjuma-led squad kicked off their campaign with a 1-0 loss to three-time champions Germany last Monday – a result that leaves them at the bottom of the table.
China top Group D with 3 points, followed by Germany also on 3 points, while Nigeria and Haiti are without points.
The other Group D match will be between table-toppers China and Germany by 12:30p.m also on Thursday, Nigeria time.
The Falconets have reached the final of the biennial competition twice – in 2010 and in 2014 – and will hope to do same in 2018.
