Moses Simon excited to make Levante debut
Super Eagles winger, Moses Simon, has expressed his excitement after playing for the first time with his new club Levante.
The 23-year old was in action for the Spanish side in a pre-season match against Albacete Balompie at the Estadio Carlos, Belmonte on Wednesday.
Simon, who came in as a substitute in the second half, converted a penalty during the shootout that followed the 2-2 draw at Full Time.
“I’ m so excited to put on @levanteud shirt for the first time thanks to everyone for your prayers work mode activated💪🏾,thanks you lord 🙏🏾,” Simon wrote on his Twitter handle after the game.
Simon completed the move to Levante UD from Belgium side KAA Gent on Monday after penning a five-year deal with the club.
He had a year left on his contract at Gent but was omitted in the squad for the season. After completing his move, he thanked Gent fans and staff in a tweet:
“I want to say a BIG THANK U to all D staffs, teammates and fans of @kaagent for everything Dis past years. U all have been wonderful. Words cannot tell how much I appreciate you all but it’s time to move on to D next chapter. One thing I know is Dat u all have a special place in my heart.”
