Tragedy as nine corps members die in Taraba

It was yet another tragic incident for the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, as nine of it members serving in Taraba State died after drowning in a river at Gashaka Local Government Area of the state.

The corpers were said to have been picnicking at the riverside when the incident occurred.

According to the state NYSC coordinator, Florence Yaakugh, four bodies, two female and two male have been recovered.

The bodies recovered are those who were reportedly posted to the state from Edo, Imo, Enugu and Delta states.

The Taraba State Police Command spokesman, ASP David Misal confirmed the incident.
